More than a collection of technologies, Solaris is the synthesis of Chario’s acoustic research: a loudspeaker designed to disappear from the listening experience and leave only the music.

 ENGINEERED IN EVERY DETAIL

Materials, surfaces and components are conceived as a single system. Nothing is decorative by accident, and nothing is technically isolated from the whole.

DESIGNED TO BECOME PART OF THE SPACE

Solaris is not conceived as an object to be simply placed in a room. Its proportions, materials and sculptural presence are designed to establish a natural relationship with the architecture that surrounds it.

STRUCTURAL CONTROL

Composite materials of ecological origin show an isotropic behaviour, dissipating energy in all directions through their internal fibres.


Solid wood, on the other hand, when used in joined staves, provides the rigidity required for a stable structure.


In Solaris, the best characteristics of natural wood and wood fibre are combined by arranging the panels on orthogonal planes.


The internal structure is designed to damp the mechanical vibrations generated by the woofers and to confine them within the cabinet.


The structure also integrates the hourglass-shaped bass reflex duct and the housing for the 250 mm subwoofer.

  • Cabinet & Dimension

    Cabinet

    Solid walnut and HDF. The structure comprises two cabinets: the lower contains one subwoofer; the upper contains one woofers, onemidwoofer and one tweeter. 

    The two wood cases are separated by four cylindrical proprietary-engineered elastomeric puffers acting as vibration decouplers to dissipate mechanical energy by orthogonal elongation

Academy SOLARIS

Solaris is the final link that completes the Academy Series.


For a long time, Solaris remained a project within Chario’s archive of ideas: a concept developed, refined and preserved until the right moment to bring it to life.


In 2026, Solaris officially becomes part of the Chario range, completing the Academy line and bringing together the principles, research and design experience developed by the company over the years.



Solaris is therefore not simply a new loudspeaker, but the completion of a project that has evolved over time and now finds its final expression within the Academy Series.
